About This Product
Liquid is drawn continuously from the reactor, cooled in the coil heat exchanger and passed through the polarimeter, which measures how far the polarised light is turned: glucose rotates it to the right and fructose to the left. From that angle the concentrations of glucose and fructose are found on-line, so no manual glucose assays are needed, and the heaters are interlocked so they cannot run when the liquid level is low or the impeller is stopped. Colleges and TVET centres in Moldova, Rwanda, Portugal, Japan, Panama and Madagascar can source the Batch Enzyme Reactor from Educational Lab Equipments.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Batch Enzyme Reactor measure reaction progress?
A polarimeter measures the angle of rotation of polarised light in the sampled liquid. Glucose rotates light to the right and fructose to the left, so both concentrations can be found on-line without manual glucose assays.
How is the reactor temperature controlled?
Two heaters and a temperature sensor in the reactor are linked to a PID controller set to the desired temperature.
Can it be connected to a PC?
Yes. Sensor signals are routed to an I/O port for connection to a PC.
