About This Product
Each of the three beams carries a sliding mass for a different step – hundreds, tens and tenths of a gram – so a reading is built up by moving the masses along the notches. For heavier objects the supplementary masses are hung on the end of the beam, and when they are not needed they sit in the recess in the base. Magnetic damping helps the beam settle.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the capacity of the triple beam balance?
It weighs up to 610 g on the beams. Hanging the two 1000 g supplementary masses on the end of the beam raises the capacity to 2610 g.
What are the beam divisions?
The beams read 0 to 500 g in 100 g steps, 0 to 100 g in 10 g steps and 0 to 10 g in 0.1 g steps.
Where are the supplementary masses kept?
They can be stored in the recessed base when they are not required.
